My name is Rosie, and I was born and raised in Cyprus Avenue, Belfast in Northern Ireland. My work is all about the beauty of imperfection – the kind of beauty that can be found in the little things that surround us in our everyday lives. My background is in business and finance but taking a career break to look after my three children presented me with the opportunity to pursue my love of art. Since graduating in 2018, and now that my children are a little more independent, I have decided to set up my own business - doing what I love and following my passion for ceramics and photography.
Home is only fifteen minutes from the coast with loughs, lakes and rivers close by and mountains, hills, glens, forests and woodland all within easy reach. Surrounded by nature’s beauty, I love to walk and swim, especially outdoors. Among my many other interests are music, which has always been a big part of my life, and travel. My camera is with me wherever I go, so I can capture those fleeting moments where I see things in a different way - I am indeed lucky to find inspiration wherever I look. There is a beautiful depth to the colours found on overcast days (part and parcel of living on this island!) and I love to capture that in my work.
